12. Mermaids in the Deep – Myth or Hidden Truth?
Mermaids have long been a part of folklore, but some claim they may be real and hidden from the public. The 2012 Discovery Channel mockumentary Mermaids: The Body Found reignited the debate, fooling many viewers before being exposed as fiction. NOAA quickly confirmed no evidence of aquatic humanoids exists. Still, with most of the ocean unexplored, some argue we can’t completely rule out the possibility.
