In July 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made history by walking on the moon. But not everyone bought it. By the 1970s, nearly 30% of Americans thought the landing was faked. Author William Kaysing, once joking in his book We Never Went to the Moon, later insisted NASA staged the footage at Area 51. Even in recent years, around 10% of Americans still express doubt. NBA star Steph Curry famously questioned the landing until NASA invited him for a tour of their lunar lab.
