3. JTF2 (Canada)
Unbeknownst to a lot of people, the peaceful Canada surprisingly too has an elite special force group in it’s military. Created in 1993, Joint Task Force 2 was designed as a counter-terrorism and special operations force. JTF2 provides security at home and works in the shadows abroad. They’ve been used to neutralize snipers in Bosnia, rescue hostages in Iraq, and operate secretively in Afghanistan. In fact, while operating along other Special Forces like the Navy SEALs, JTF2’s operations in the Middle East were so clandestine that even the Canadian Prime Minister didn’t know they were there.
