12. Horace Ridler (The Great Omi)
Horace Ridler, known as “The Great Omi” or “The Zebra Man,” was one of the earliest pioneers of full-body tattooing. A British sideshow performer in the early 20th century, Ridler covered himself with bold black and white stripes resembling a zebra’s pattern. His look, combined with his stage persona, made him a sensation in circuses and freak shows of his time. While his tattoos were less detailed compared to today’s standards, his influence on the culture of body modification was enormous, paving the way for modern tattoo icons.
